Skips must be delivered on to private property and cannot be placed on the public highway without a permit. This includes roads, footpaths and grass verges maintained by the highway department. We can arrange permits for you, please contact us for more information on prices. Please note that permits can take up to 14 working days to be approved from the relevant Council. If a skip is to be placed on the public highway then you must ensure that it is suitably lit and provided with the relevant law of the council. We can provide lights and cones where required please contact us for further details. Failure to advise us the skip is going on the road will result in a failed delivery and wasted journey charges if there is nowhere suitable off the road on private property to drop the
skip.

Skips cannot be lifted over anything including hedges, gates, walls and fences and we cannot drive over any manhole covers, raised kerbs or grassed areas in order to deliver the skip. You must also ensure that there is sufficient room for the lorry to deliver and collect the skip. Remember, you are responsible for ensuring suitable access. If you require dimensions of the vehicle delivering the skip, please contact us and we will be happy to provide you with the dimensions. Failure to ensure there is adequate access could result in extra charges such as wasted journeys and waiting time on site, as well as failed deliveries.

We cannot accept any soil, rubble or any other heavy waste in 10, 12, 14 & 16yd skips. Please check with us what size is suitable if you have such waste to dispose of. Skips must be level loaded to enable them to be transported safely and legally. Any skips found over loaded will incur wasted journey charges. It will also delay the collection and you will be asked to unload the skip to an
acceptable level.

Customers ordering skips on privately owned property do so at their own risk. Please be aware that skip lorries can weigh up to 16 tonnes and can subsequently damage some surfaces. Damage can also be caused by the stabilisers when offloading and loading the skip on to the vehicle, as well as the skip itself causing sinkage and damage to surfaces. We cannot accept responsibility for any
damage caused by our vehicles whilst delivering and collecting from your sites and you may be asked to sign a disclaimer. If you would like any help or information on ground protections then please do not hesitate to contact us before delivery or on booking, to avoid wasted journey charges and unnecessary damages.
